Boy, have we been slacking on this blog!

Here’s some highlights you may have missed.

Gavin and I went to London with my mom and we got our new apartment!
London Apt - Satellite

It’s great - 2 beds, 2 baths, south east facing corner apartment. In suite laundry! Dishwasher!

But it is a little bit far from the university. Close to what we were in Peterborough, but this time it’s 2 bus rides instead of one. But I’ll still have a bus pass and Gavin will have a car.

Yes, we’re getting a car! It’s very exciting. We’re looking at the 2008 Hyundai Accent right now.

So, unless we find an amazing used car that we can’t pass up, we’ll probably have this one maybe next week. Gavin is going to be taking his G exam on Friday, because that makes a huge difference in insurance, especially if we don’t apply for insurance until after he gets the G.

That means that Gavin will have had his G1, G2 and G license all in one summer! Whew!

I quit my job, because I wasn’t getting any homework done, which is pretty important since my program in September hinges on getting that course done! But they phoned and now I’ve agreed to do 2 6am shifts next week. Which means a) I have to get up really early on those days. I hope I can handle it and b) I have to go back and do that work again :S and c) I have to get my homework done before then!!!

Could be interesting.

Today we’re celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary! Going to East Side Mario’s! And then maybe a movie. Gavin doesn’t know about the movie yet, but I’m sure he won’t mind! Since we haven’t bought our own car yet, we’ll be borrowing my moms. It will be so nice to have our own!

Also, I need to find our marriage certificate (to get OSAP) and Gavin’s driver’s ed certificate (for car insurance) which I do NOT look forward to. All of our things are still packed in storage, and those aren’t things that I would want to look for in the first place!

And what do you make of this? I got an email today from Algoma University (I’m on their mailing list) saying

The reason for our email today is do to the fact that your current mailing information does not correspond with our mailing systems.

First of all - I giggled that they used the wrong ‘due’ - am I the only one who was confused by the meaning the first time through? Also - what does it even mean!? They had no trouble sending THAT email! What are they getting at! So - if they don’t like my email address fine, I wasn’t going to go to their school anyhow.

That’s all I can think of for now.
