Our balcony vegetable garden is doing great. We’re growing tomatoes (silvery fir tree and black seaman) and peppers in those large cake icing buckets from the grocery store. We’ve got over 20 tomatoes growing now, and two of them are already turning red! One green and two black peppers have started to grow too. We are also growing lots and lots of basil. Soon we will plant cilantro, spinach and alfalfa sprouts.
- We put some smaller pepper plants and our herbs on the glass table.
- We got the icing buckets by asking at the bakery of the grocery store.
- Interestingly, the smaller pepper plants on the table are giving more vegetables than the huge ones in the buckets.
- We have so many tomatoes now, we're going to have to make a TON of salsa!
- Look at that little guy!
- We have a LOT of sweet basil growing on the balcony.

I really like your balcony vegetable garden. I’m looking for ideas to grow tomatoes and lettuce. I’m new and really don’t know much about container gardening. I’m trying to learn from pics and articles. Thanks for the post and your garden looks great.
