Joey:
Brr! Hi Martha! It was cold on the way here. It’s definitely wintertime out there.

Martha:
Yes, in fact, you could say….
The weather outside is frightful, but the fire so delightful and since we’ve no place to go (we’re already here!) Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Joey:
Ha ha. Very funny. Anyway, I love Christmas time. It’s my favourite time of the year.

Martha:
After all, It’s … the… Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
There’ll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Joey:
…are you going to be doing that all night?

Martha:
Hard to say. Why is Christmas your favourite time of year?

Joey:
Well, I just love having family come to visit, and we always go to one persons house for a giant christmas dinner.

Martha:
That’s true…because … there’s no place like
home for the holidays,
‘Cause no matter how far away you roam
When you pine for the sunshine of a friendly face
For the holidays, you can’t beat
Home, sweet home

Joey:
Well, I haven’t done much roaming. But I guess that song works for Uncle Bill. He travels a lot for his job.

Martha:
Will he …be home for Christmas.

Joey:
… yes. What’s your favourite part of Christmas?

Martha:
I like to….. DECK the halls with boughs of Holly! Fa la la la la la la la la.

Joey:
Do you even know what a bough is?

Martha:
It’s…. like…. bows? of … holly?

Joey:
No…. I don’t think so….. and isn’t your mom allergic to holly?

Martha:
Oh no. She’s only allergic to trees and berries.

Joey:
Right… So what is REALLY your favourite part?

Martha:
I like the family thing too. I like how my whole family goes to church together - that only happens at Christmas.

Joey:
That’s great Martha. Christmas does really bring people together. Like, even the wisemen came to visit Jesus when he was born. That probably didn’t happen very often. Didn’t they live far away?

Martha:
The three kings?… from Orient are! Bearing gifts they traverse afar! Field and fountain moor and mountain following yonder star….

Joey:
That’s right…. from the orient. You could have just said that…

Martha:
Does that really bother you?

Joey:
It’s just a little hard to have a conversation with you!

Martha:
Alright, I’ll stop.

Joey:
Really? You’ll stop?

Martha:
Yep! Not one more carol.

Joey:
Cool. Hey, I found this old HAT! do you want to go make a snowman?

Martha:
….Frosty?

Joey:
Yeah! We can call him frosty the snowman. Good idea.

Martha:
…..how cruel.

Joey:
Then maybe he would laugh and play.

Martha:
JUST THE SAME AS YOU AND ME!?!?

Joey:
ha! I knew you couldn’t do it.

Martha:
But you baited me! That wasn’t fair!

Joey:
What can I say…. I’m gettin’ nothin’ for Christmas! Cuz I ain’t been nothin’ but bad!

Martha:
Augh!
