Jobba The Site
A free opensource job posting board for your website. It is being designed for the Trent University Career Centre, but it will also be released to the public in April. It uses the Code Igniter framework as a backend, and is written entirely in PHP and Javascript. Currently hosted here.
Jobba The Site was conceptualized in September 2007, and currently is in the final stages of development. The software will be unveiled in two weeks at Trent University, where the Shoestring Architects will demonstrate the features. The software will be implemented for the Trent University Career Centre shortly thereafter. Once implementation is finished, the software will be become more customizable and released to the public for free.
Busby
A free opensource store for your website. This also uses Code Igniter as it’s backend. It will have customizable themes built into it, an intuitive backend, and it currently uses Paypal as a means of payment.
Busby was born December 2007 and is still under initial development. Sean and Gavin work on it in their spare time - a practically nonexistent resource recently, but that should change once we graduate.
