When everything goes wrong…

Joey:

Oh boy, what a day!!

Martha:

What’s wrong Joey?

Joey:

Everything is going wrong today. When I was getting out of bed, my feet got tangled in the blankets, and I fell out of bed face first!!

Martha:

Oh no!

Joey:

Then, someone used up all the toothpaste, and when I went to get a new tube, I dropped my toothbrush in the toilet!

Martha:

Oh no!

Joey:

As soon as I finished peanut buttering my toast, I dropped it on the ground.

Martha:

Butter side down?

Joey:

No, it landed butter side up! And the floor was clean! I thought things were finally looking up! But before I could grab it, the dog dived in and gobbled it up.

Martha:

Oh no!

Joey:

Well, at least I’m here now. Not much more could go wro….. oh no. Look. My pants are on backwards.

Martha:

Joey! What a day you’re having!!

Joey:

I feel just horrible.

Martha:

Well, you know what cheers me up when I’m have a hard time? Singing!! Let’s sing together!

Joey:

Martha, you always want me to sing with you. Whether or not I’m having a rotten, horrible, no good, very bad day.

Martha:

No really Joey! Singing can cheer you up! Just try it.

Joey:

… well, it’s worth a try….

It’s the end of the world as we know it, it’s the end of the world as we know it…

Martha:

Stop stop!! Not that kind of song! That won’t cheer you up!

Joey:

Oh….. We’re not gonna take it! No! We’re not gonna take it!!

Martha:

Stop stop!!

Joey:

Still no? hmm… Everybody hurts…sometimes….

Martha:

Stop, you have to sing a happier song! Like a praise song!

Joey:

But, I’m having a bad day, why should I sing happy songs?

Martha:

Well, we’re Christians Joey. The Bible says that “God inhabits the praise of His people.” God is always with us – even when we’re having a bad day – but when we praise Him we become more aware of Him because He is our awesome God.

Joey:

Well, what song do you think?

Martha:

How about prepare the ways of the lord?

Joey and

Martha:

**singing, at first normal, but as Joey cheers up he starts to sing more piratey.**

Martha:

Now you’re getting silly. You must be feeling better…

Joey:

Arr matey!

Martha:

let’s sing the children’s song, and how about the whole church joins in!! I am sure that if anyone here is having a bad day, they will feel 100% better after singing.
